Five Most Dropped Players: November 25-December 1
- Eric Bledsoe (8.7 points, 4.9 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 1.2 steals): After a hot start once he moved into the starting line up, Bledsoe has cooled off lately and fantasy owners have jumped off the bandwagon. News that Baron Davis is on the verge of returning also sparked the Bledsoe sell-off. If Bledsoe is available in your league, we highly recommend picking him up and hanging onto him at the very least until Davis gets back on the court. Once Davis returns, be patient and wait a few games to see whether Davis returns to the starting line up and how Bledsoe's playing time is affected.
- Taj Gibson (11.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, 51.1% FG%): With Taj dealing with a foot injury and Carlos Boozer returning to practice, it's no wonder he's being dropped across so many leagues. His value is set to take a major hit in the next week or so when Boozer returns and he's not even producing now due to the injury. Owners in standard leagues should cut their ties now if something decent is available in the free agent pool. If there's nothing worthwhile out there now, you may want to hold onto Gibson until Boozer officially returns.
- Beno Udrih (12.4 points, 4.4 assists, 2.9 rebounds): Udrih's value started to slip when he was moved to the second unit in favor of Luther Head. Although his stats have started to fall, he's still rated #104 in our player ratings following his 24-point outburst last night. At this time, he's borderline rosterable in standard leagues. He's playing roughly 24 minutes a night off the bench, just enough to be able to produce now and then. Additionally, Kings head coach Paul Westphal is known for shuffling his starters so Beno could find himself back in the starting line up in the future. If you've still got Udrih in a standard league, try to wait a bit longer to evaluate his performances before making a move. He showed early in the season he could be a top 100 fantasy player given ample playing time.
- Mike Dunleavy (12.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers): Dunleavy's fantasy value has taken a hit since the return of Brandon Rush. Between the two, Rush has more upside and he's even seeing more minutes although Dunleavy is starting most games. Pacers head coach Jim O'Brien is favoring Rush for his defensive ability, so he'll likely see more minutes than Dunleavy for the foreseeable future. Right now, Dunleavy is borderline rosterable in standard leagues. If something better is available in free agency, you may be better off cutting him loose.
- J.J. Hickson (11.8 points, 5.8 rebounds): There were high hopes for Hickson in the preseason and he delivered in the early going. Lately, though, Hickson has been disappointing. Since November 13th, Hickson has scored in double-digits just once. Since he's not contributing regularly in rebounding or any other category, he's just not worth holding onto in standard leagues if he's not scoring much. Most likely you'll find players who can give you more consistent scoring or rebounding on your waiver wire.
