Woe is love! It’s another bustup for ABC’s The Bachelor franchise as Texas bar owner Brad Womack and former Final Rose recipient Emily Maynard have reportedly called it quits.
The last time we saw the pair, it was mid-March and Brad — whose first stint on the dating reality show ended with him snubbing two potential fiancees — was on bended knee proposing to Emily, a single mother of one. Giddy, she accepted; but things have been anything but smooth sailing since, celebrity tattles squeal. The couple previously admitted that they broke up after filming the show’s finale. At the heart of their issues, according to Emily, was her hesitation to marry Womack due to his controlling temper, the long distance between them, and fears that Brad would cheat on her.
Tipsters-in-the-know now tell OK! Magazine that Emily has given her three-carat engagement ring back to Brad while Life & Style says she told Brad on April 9 that the relationship is over, for good this time. It seems that Emily felt pressured to move to Dallas with her 5-year-old daughter and to conform to Brad’s lifestyle.
“She finally gave up and refused. She said, ‘I want my life back,” an insider close to Maynard tells OK!
According to Life & Style’s snitch, Maynard split with Brad because of his “hurtful and erratic behavior.”
“Brad seemed very complacent all of a sudden. He did everything he could to woo and charm Emily on the show, and then it just slowed. Emily knows he likes Texas, he likes his bars and booze, so she’s just wondering if he likes someone else. It started to really worry Emily. She felt like, ‘If he’s not wanting to see her, who is he with?’”
