Rookie point guard Armon Johnson is starting to see minutes off the bench for the Portland Trail Blazers. He played a season-high 22 minutes on Tuesday.
The Breakdown
Johnson appears to be the guard who will fill in the back up point guard role following the trade of Jerryd Bayless. Johnson, though, won't get many minutes because the Blazers are still mainly relying on Brandon Roy to run the point when Andre Miller is on the bench. Still, deep leaguers in need of point guard help may want to pick up Johnson in case his role with the team increases. Additionally, Roy is injury prone and Armon would be sure to play an increased role if Roy were to get injured at some point during the year.
