After a terrible start to the season, Orlando Magic forward Rashard Lewis has put together a nice stretch of games offensively. In his last five, Lewis is averaging 15.2 points and 2.4 three-pointers on 56.8% shooting from the field and a sizzling 63.2% from downtown.
The Breakdown
It's good to see Lewis upping his scoring and percentages. If he can keep it up, he can get back to the numbers he averaged last season. While his rebounding is just slightly better than last year, we're not sure if Lewis can stay around five rebounds a game for the season. His numbers in other stats are slightly down and his free throw shooting is at just 73.7%, down from his career mark of 80.7%. Lewis is looking like he's going to end up a major disappointment for fantasy owners this season unless he has a major turnaround.
Interestingly, we've observed that Rashard's numbers have dipped in each of his seasons with Orlando. This may be a sign his game is starting to decline if he doesn't significantly improve this year and is something worth noting for owners in keeper leagues.
