San Antonio Spurs center Matt Bonner has been playing over 25 minutes a night in the team's last five games. In the same period, starting center DeJuan Blair's minutes have dipped to just 16 a game including a low of 6 minutes tonight.
The Breakdown
Head coach Gregg Popovich appears to be favoring the experience of Bonner and Antonio McDyess over the younger Blair and Tiago Splitter. Bonner's had a couple of good games since his return from a back injury, but he's been fairly inconsistent. With the minutes he's seeing, though, owners in deep leagues should jump on him. Be aware that Bonner's only real contributions are in scoring and three-pointers, with a few rebounds here and there. Bonner is available in almost all leagues.
