After Memphis Grizzlies guard O.J. Mayo came off the bench for the second consecutive game tonight, it appears that head coach Lionel Hollins is planning to use Mayo in a sixth man role for the time being.
The Breakdown
Hollins told USA Today that he's looking for more scoring off the bench, so it looks like Mayo could be used as a sixth man for the foreseeable future. The move doesn't necessarily hurt his fantasy value unless his minutes drop, which they have over the last two games. Mayo owners will just have to stick out this rough stretch and hope Mayo thrives in his new role or returns to the starting line up.
O.J. has been replaced by rookie Xavier Henry as the team's starting shooting guard. Henry doesn't appear to be a player who's ready to make an impact, but owners in very deep leagues may want to make a speculative addition.
